About the role
An international school community located in Hang Dong is hiring a dedicated secondary EAL/ESL educator. This permanent post focuses on strengthening language acquisition and academic English across the secondary division.
The appointed educator will instruct learners with varying proficiencies, craft tailor-made instructional materials, and co-plan with subject-area staff to ensure multilingual learners can engage fully with the broader curriculum.
Beyond direct pupil instruction, the position involves supporting colleagues through language differentiation coaching and sharing pedagogical expertise to enhance the school's comprehensive EAL framework.
Requirements
- Strong track record teaching EAL and Academic English at the secondary level, ideally in an international school
- Capability to build customized curricula and engaging resources for diverse English proficiency levels
- Deep knowledge of language acquisition methods, assessment tools, and differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating, co-teaching, and mentoring subject teachers
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE ESL and IELTS preparation courses is highly advantageous
- Experience delivering English courses to adult learners is a plus
