About the role
Schoology Escuintla is inviting open-minded and independent educators to join their language program in Guatemala for a six-month teaching exchange. This placement is ideal for individuals eager to gain classroom experience, connect with the local community, and make an impact teaching conversational English to teens and adult learners.
The schedule comprises up to 29 contact hours per week across dynamic, discussion-oriented sessions. You will have two days off each week to relax and explore the area. All core instructional resources, lesson frameworks, and ongoing staff support are provided.
Teachers reside on a secure private compound with air-conditioned private bedrooms, reliable high-speed internet, and shared common amenities including a swimming pool, home fitness area, and tennis court. Breakfast and lunch are provided Monday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Native or near-native English fluency with an American accent
- Positive attitude, high emotional maturity, and strong independence
- Comfortable adapting to life in a small town
- No strict personal dietary restrictions or specialized food needs
- Sufficient personal savings to support extra activities and incidental costs
- Resume and a 1–2 minute video introduction required to apply
