About the role
The British International School, Phuket is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Spanish and step into the role of Head of Faculty starting in August 2027. This position plays an integral part in advancing the school's Modern Languages department across diverse year groups.
In addition to delivering lessons to students across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme, the successful educator will oversee the department's strategic direction, guide teaching colleagues, and drive curriculum enhancement. The ability to teach upper primary students or secondary French is also considered advantageous.

Requirements
- Proven background teaching Spanish across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme.
- Demonstrated leadership ability suitable for leading an academic faculty.
- Strong subject knowledge and dedication to differentiated, high-quality instruction.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and school community engagement.
- Ability to teach French at IGCSE or IB ab initio level is advantageous.
- Experience teaching Spanish to upper primary levels is preferred.
