About the role
UNIS Hanoi is seeking an Elementary English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher and Coach to assist multilingual learners in the lower elementary division. The position works closely with the Elementary Principal and the Director of Student Success and Wellbeing.\n\nThe educator will implement language acquisition strategies across whole-class, small-group, and individual intervention settings within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework. The role combines direct classroom teaching with teacher coaching, helping homeroom educators embed targeted language scaffolds and translanguaging practices into everyday lessons.\n\nThis position offers the chance to participate actively in the Student Success Team, ensuring early identification of academic needs and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Requirements
- Experience delivering language interventions and coaching colleagues in EAL practices\n- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and targeted multi-tiered student support\n- Knowledge of evidence-based language learning strategies including translanguaging\n- Ability to co-plan, co-teach, and design differentiated reading and writing instruction\n- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and families
