About the role
DBS is looking for an innovative Computer Science Teacher to deliver rigorous coursework across Years 7 through 13. The school boasts three purpose-designed Computer Science laboratories equipped for contemporary technical education. This role sits within the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.
You will be responsible for maintaining high instructional standards, tracking pupil attainment, and driving continuous improvement across key exam stages. The successful educator will inspire analytical thinking, coding proficiency, and technical problem-solving skills.
In addition to academic instruction, teachers play an integral role in DBS community life through pastoral mentoring, form tutoring, and leading extracurricular clubs.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status with recognized credentials in Computer Science or related discipline
- Proven experience teaching secondary learners up to Year 13 (IGCSE / A-Level standard)
- Competency with current programming languages and computing pedagogy
- Willingness to engage fully in school-wide co-curricular and pastoral initiatives
