About the role
Harrow International School and Harrow Lide School Haikou invite experienced school leaders to apply for the position of Whole School Deputy Head focusing on Safeguarding and SEND. Situated in the Jiangdong District of Haikou, Hainan, the campus delivers K-12 bilingual and international education for day and boarding learners under the historic Harrow banner.
The successful candidate will oversee vital pastoral, safeguarding, and special educational needs provisions across the school. The post provides an opportunity to help shape high-caliber international education in an expanding educational hub in southern China.
Contracts are offered on a two-year renewable basis, accompanied by competitive employment terms and collaborative working environments. Applications are open to experienced leaders from both UK and international school backgrounds.
Requirements
- Relevant undergraduate degree
- UK PGCE or alternative teaching qualification conferring QTS
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum of England, alongside IGCSE or A Level pathways
- Dedicated approach to holistic student development and child welfare
- Demonstrated active participation in school extracurricular activities
