About the role
Storyland is seeking an inspiring Literature Teacher to deliver interactive, small-group literacy workshops for children aged 6 to 15 in Shanghai's historic Former French Concession. Rather than conventional grammar drills, instruction focuses on high-quality novels, chapter books, and creative expression.
Educators will guide small cohorts of no more than eight pupils through guided discussions, literary analysis, and imaginative projects. The schedule follows a Wednesday through Sunday roster during terms, moving to weekdays during school breaks, with work-from-home options for lesson preparation after the first semester.
The school provides a welcoming collaborative environment, an extensive English library, and a proprietary progressive curriculum spanning eleven distinct levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Native-level English proficiency
- At least 2 years of verifiable full-time, non-teaching work experience post-graduation

- TEFL, CELTA, or teaching license preferred
