About the role
Westminster School of English in Bangkok is looking for professional instructors to deliver test preparation courses. The primary assignment involves preparing Year 10 and Year 11 secondary students for the IELTS examination in cohort groups of roughly twenty learners.
Additional duties may include leading small-group IELTS or Academic English tutorials for adult learners. Teachers follow established schemes of work while deploying communicative, student-focused methods to cultivate exam readiness and overall English proficiency.
Both full-time contracts and hourly part-time arrangements are available, supported by a structured academic environment in the heart of Thailand's capital.
Requirements
- Native English speaker holding a passport from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
- Minimum 120-hour in-person teaching certification (e.g., CELTA or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience instructing IELTS or Academic English
- Comprehensive understanding of IELTS assessment rubrics
- Strong classroom management and student-centered pedagogical skills
